WILLEMSTAD – September 12, 2019 – The Curaçao Tourist Board (CTB), in close cooperation with the Curaçao Innovation & Technology Institute (CITI) and the Curaçao Hospitality & Tourism Association (CHATA), recently handed out certificates to 20 lodging establishments, 2 restaurants and 10 dive operators for successfully completing CTB’s Hospitality Industry Audit Program. The program was established in 2015 with the objective of maintaining the quality of services offered by all businesses operating in our tourism industry.
In a truly enjoyable ceremony, certificates were handed out to: Apartamentu Holanda, Appartementen BlouBlou Curaçao, Bahia Apartments & Diving, Bed & Breakfast Toni Kunchi, Bon Biní Seaside Resort, Cecil Paradise Apartments, Curaçao Exclusief, Curaçao Sun Apartments, Dolphin Suites, Flamingo Park N.V., Hacienda La Bougainville, Home Sweet Home Curaçao, Jan Kok Lodges, LXRY Home, Mondi Lodge, My Dream Apartments, Piscadera Seaview Apartments, PM78 Urban Oasis Curaçao, Sun Reef Village On Sea and The Beach House Curaçao. The recipients also included two restaurants: Dagaz Curaçao and Kome Restaurant. As in previous years, a number of dive operators were re-audited. This time around: At Divers Choice Curaçao, B Diving & Watersports, Bahia Diving, Blue Bay Dive & Watersports, Coral Divers B.V., Curious 2 Dive, Jan Thiel Diving, Ocean Encounters Curaçao, Scubaçao Diving Adventures and The Dive Bus.
Some of the hospitality and tourism businesses participating in this year’s program were audited for the first time, while others were re-audited. The CTB wishes to congratulate all lodging establishments, restaurants and dive operators that have successfully completed the audit. The certificate received is valid for two years and businesses are re-audited every two years based on locally and internationally accepted quality standards. Participating in the quality program is voluntary. All businesses who have not yet done so are invited to register for the audit program, either by e-mail at audit@citi.cw or by phone at 738-6299.
