WILLEMSTAD- February 28, 2021 – The inauguration of Jetair Caribbean’s new Curaçao–Dominican Republic route was celebrated with a simple yet meaningful reception. The inaugural flight marks the opening of the airline’s second destination. Speakers at the reception included the Minister of Economic Development, Dr. Steven Martina, the Minister of Traffic, Transportation and Urban Planning, Zita Jesus-Leito, Jetair Caribbean’s Managing Director, Antonio Ribeiro, Jetair Caribbean’s CEO, Robert Maas, Director Marketing, Air Service & Development at Curaçao Airport Partners, Peggy Croes, Curaçao Hospitality & Tourism Association CEO, Maria-Helena Seferina-Rojas and Assistant to The Director & Corporate Strategist at Curaçao Airport Holding, Priscilla Circkens.
The Jetair flight will be taking place on Sunday, departing from Curaçao at 9:00 a.m. and arriving in Santo Domingo at 10:25 a.m. The return flight will depart from Santo Domingo at 11:25 a.m. and arrive in Curaçao at 12:50 p.m. The flights will be operated with an 80-seat capacity Fokker 70. This new route offered by Jetair will allow more visitors from the Dominican Republic to come and experience the unique product Curaçao has to offer, including beautiful beaches, a rich culture, the island’s history and architecture, a variety of tourist attractions and, most of all, our friendly people. At the same time, this also expands the travel options available to the local population. The airline’s aim is to continue expanding its flight schedule with other Caribbean and South American routes.
The Government of Curaçao, the Curaçao Tourist Board (CTB), Curaçao Airport Partners (CAP), Curaçao Airport Holding (CAH) and the Curaçao Hospitality and Tourism Association (CHATA) want to congratulate Jetair, wishing them all the best with this new destination.
