…this one aimed at the Northern European Region…
WILLEMSTAD- April 22, 2021 – The Curaçao Tourist Board (CTB) recently participated in another virtual fair, this time the Aviareps Nordic Virtual Fair 2021. Curaçao’s participation in the event was aimed at promoting the island as a tourist destination among a group of 159 travel agents, tour operators and travel magazines of the North European region, encompassing Norway, Finland, Sweden and Denmark. Over the course of two days, Curaçao, together with 18 other tourism organizations, exchanged ideas and provided information to the above-mentioned group. CTB is exploring the development of the Nordic market considering the huge potential of this market.
During the virtual fair the organizers leveraged modern communication technologies, allowing Curaçao to participate in different online meetings and one-on-one conversations using digital avatars. Multiple digital brochures and videos were shared at Curaçao’s virtual booth, with up-to-date information on Curaçao’s tourism product as well as on the island’s rich culture and history. In conversations with participants at the fair, the team also answered questions on the protocols currently in place and the available airlift to visit Curaçao.
The CTB will continue seizing opportunities to participate in virtual fairs and thus continue promoting Curaçao in its key markets.
