CTB Hosts Two Hurricane and Crisis Preparedness Sessions for the Tourism Sector

July 11, 2024

WILLEMSTAD- July 11, 2024 – Recently, the Curaçao Tourist Board (CTB) organized two sessions on hurricane and crisis preparedness for the tourism sector. The sessions were held in collaboration with the Ministry of Economic Development in their capacity of ESF-10 (Emergency Support Functions #10), the Meteorological Department Curaçao (MDC), and the Directorate of Risk Management & Disaster Policy (DRR).

With the hurricane season active, it is imperative for the tourism sector to be well-prepared. These sessions provided the tourism industry with crucial and necessary information for managing during the hurricane season and crises in general. The sessions were directed at partners in the tourism sector such as hotels, resorts, apartments, dive schools, attractions, and others so they can be better prepared and resilient in any crisis eventuality.

The local community is also encouraged to stay prepared and follow official channels, such as www.kalamidat.cw

During the hurricane season, let’s all stay prepared.
