WILLEMSTAD – November 29, 2024 – Recently,theCuraçao Tourist Board (CTB), in partnership with Curaçao Airport Holding (CAH) and the private sector, participated in the International Tourism Fair (FIT) in Buenos Aires, Argentina. As the leading tourism fair in southern South America, FIT connects destinations with both public and tourism professionals from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, and Uruguay. This year, Curaçao marked its second participation, showcasing the diverse and unique tourism product the destination has to offer.
FIT 2024 hosted a record-breaking 135,000 visitors. This year, Curaçao featured a colorful stand showcasing the island’s iconic pontoon bridge, the Handelskade, and stunning views of its beaches. The Curaçao stand was one of the most popular stands among the visitors at the fair, highlighting the growing enthusiasm for Curaçao as a tourist destination. During the four-day fair, the Curaçao team presented attractive packages to inspire visitors to choose Curaçao for their next vacation. In addition, the team gave presentations and held business meetings with commercial partners, including Copa Airlines, Avianca, CVC Corp Argentina, operators like Viaclub and Turismo Cocha from Chile, and Jetmar and Siur Viajes from Uruguay.
Participation in tourism fairs like FIT provides an opportunity to reach both potential tourists and tourism professionals.
