WILLEMSTAD – March 12, 2025 – A team from Curaçao consisting of representatives from the Curaçao Tourist Board (CTB), Curaçao Airport Partners (CAP), and 12 private sector partners participated last week at ITB Berlin in Germany. This is one of the world’s largest travel trade shows. The main goal of Curaçao’s participation was to strengthen commercial ties with international partners. During the three-day fair, the Curaçao team met with various tour operators, airlines, online travel agencies (OTA’s), and trade-focused media outlets.
This year, ITB saw participation from 5800 companies representing 170 countries and attracted over 100,000 visitors, 87% of whom were from outside Germany. Curaçao had a colorful 100m2 booth located in the Caribbean Hall. Throughout the event, the Curaçao team engaged in various strategic meetings with international partners to develop joint initiatives aimed at increasing the number of visitors from Germany to Curaçao. On the second day, CTB hosted a partner dinner for all local partners and the product managers of international partners, DER Touristik and Alltours.
CTB extends its gratitude to the private sector partners who were part of the Curaçao team during ITB 2025; Coral Estate Luxury Resort, Curaçao Marriott Beach Resort, Renaissance Wind Creek Curaçao Resort, Sandals Royal Curaçao, FBTT, Morena Eco Resort, Acoya Curaçao Resort, Villas & Spa, Mangrove Beach Corendon Curaçao All-Inclusive Resort, Curio by Hilton, Kontiki Beach Resort, Royal Resorts Caribbean, Papagayo Curaçao and Pietermaai Boutique Hotel. Germany remains an important market for Curaçao, which is why participating in fairs like ITB is key. These events provide valuable opportunities to collaborate with commercial partners and to explore ways to attract more visitors to Curaçao.
