WILLEMSTAD – April 16, 2025 – Recently, the Minister of Economic Development, Mr. Charles Cooper, unveiled a sign that provides an impression of the development of the next phase at the Marie Pampoen Recreation Area. This is phase 4, the final phase to be developed as part of the recreation area at Marie Pampoen. This phase will primarily focus on improving and expanding the capacity of the existing beach, along with its facilities, such as parking and restrooms. The plans are currently being finalized, and the necessary consultations and studies are underway in preparation for the project’s execution.
The project is financed through funds facilitated by the Ministry of Economic Development. Heren2 Caribbean will supervise the construction work, while the project coordination is managed by the Curaçao Tourist Board (CTB). The Marie Pampoen Recreation Area has received a lot of positive feedback from the community and is well-visited by both locals and tourists.
