WILLEMSTAD – October 10, 2018 – The Curaçao Tourist Board (CTB) recently launched a new awareness project called ‘CTB in Your Neighborhood’. The ‘CTB in Your Neighborhood’ project is part of CTB’s awareness campaign ‘Kòrsou ta dushi’. The project includes a live broadcast radio show from Radio Active’s Mobile Studio informing the community about the island’s tourism areas, with a number of quizzes and prizes for the audience and listeners.
Each week, the mobile studio will be parked in a different tourist area. The program is broadcast live from the area, generating informative interaction with the public. For the first edition, the bus stopped at Caracasbaai where the Minister of Economic Development, Dr. Steven Martina, CTB’s new CEO, Mr. Paul Pennicook as well as a number of CTB executives, Radio Active representatives and invitees were present. Mr. Tyron Brunken, a local tourist guide shared details on the area’s history and asked tourism-themed questions to those tuning in, with a chance at winning prizes. Our thanks also go to Radio Active 104.5 FM for their collaboration and partnership in this new project.
The CTB is pleased with the reception given to this first edition, with some listeners even driving over to Caracasbaai for the project’s official launching.
