…CTB launches awareness campaign…
Willemstad – September 19, 2016 – World Tourism Day is celebrated worldwide on September 27th. On this day, awareness is raised among the international community of the importance of tourism and its social, cultural, political and economic value. This year, the world will celebrate this day with a common theme; ‘Tourism for All’. CTB will use this theme as a platform to remind the community of their valued contribution in the tourism industry. To kick-off this awareness campaign, Minister of Economic Development, Mr. Eugene Rhuggenaath revealed a billboard and a bus that illustrates the campaign message, ‘Tourism for All’.
During the preparation process, we’ve asked employees of 34 random organizations to be ‘the face’ of the ‘Tourism for All’ campaign. This design will be used on different billboards across the island; the first one was revealed and presented at Mohikanenweg just in front of the Goisco building. To ensure the awareness island wide, CTB wrapped a public bus with the same design. Both billboard and bus will carry the message of this year’s World Tourism Day; ‘Tourism for All’. This shows how important the participation of the entire community is in the local tourism industry.
