…Starting Sunday, September 11…
Willemstad – September 9, 2016– Many still remember the Curaçao Culture, Cuisine & Heritage Experience (CCCHE). It was in 2005 that Curaçao Tourist Board (CTB) together with the private sector launched the project of CCCHE as an event that brings the tourists closer to the community. The idea of mingling locals with visitors was well received. Each year the event is presented for a few months, the last one was held in 2009. This year, after 7 years CTB will give the event some new vibes and reintroduce this to the community and all visiting guests.
Curaçao Culture, Cuisine & Heritage Experience is part of the Tourism Master Plan; during 4 consecutive months CTB will organize the CCCHE every other week. The bi-weekly event will be supported by local businesses, folkloric, cultural and carnival groups who’ll make sure everyone enjoys the cultural festivities while indulging some local ‘krioyo’ dishes. The main idea of the Curaçao Culture, Cuisine & Heritage Experience is for our visiting guests to explore the diversity of the Curaçao history, our cultural heritage and the authenticity of local dishes. These are key ingredients of our tourism product.
Besides using this as a touristic event, CCCHE is the perfect platform for small businesses to introduce their products such as souvenirs, paintings and many other handcrafted arts made by local artists. The first edition in its new concept of the CCCHE will be this Sunday, September 11th at Brionplein, Otrobanda.
CTB and CHATA invite the community of Curaçao to also be present on the other dates of CCCHE: September 25th, October 2nd and 29th, November 12th and 27th, December 4th and 11th. The first edition will be this Sunday, see you at Otrobanda!
