Willemstad, 30 November 2022 – Recently a delegation of 10 hotels from Curaçao traveled to Brazil to promote the island in the southern part of the country. The delegation’s first stop was in São Paulo, where they participated in a press event with 20 journalists and influencers. They also gave some trainings to 50 travel agents and conducted a business roundtable with 25 operators.
After the activities in the city of São Paulo, the representatives from Curaçao traveled to the city of Gramado, in Rio Grande do Sul, to participate in Festuris, one of the main tourism fairs in Brazil. The delegation promoted our island and its hotels in the Curaçao booth at this fair with over 12,000 participants.
The Brazilian market is booming and the interest of Brazilians to visit Curaçao is growing. By October 2022, more than 8,000 Brazilian tourists had visited Curaçao and many were from Rio Grande do Sul. The Curaçao Tourist Board is very satisfied with this development and plans to continue to promote the island in more locations in Brazil in the near future.
