Welcome to TUI Fly’s Inaugural Flight Connecting Brussels and Curaçao

November 5, 2024

WILLEMSTAD – November 5, 2024 – The first TUI Fly flight from Brussels, Belgium, has landed in Curaçao and received the traditional water salute. Belgium ranks as Curaçao’s third largest source of tourist in Europe. This new route opens opportunities for even more travelers to discover Curaçao’s beauty and diverse tourism offerings. TUI will operate two weekly flights from Brussels to Curaçao on Tuesdays and Saturdays, using a Boeing 787 ‘Dreamliner’. Curaçao already has a longstanding relationship with TUI, as the airline operates direct flights from Amsterdam to Curaçao and is now expanding its schedule by introducing flights from Brussels.

To celebrate the arrival of the first flight, a pleasant ceremony was held with speeches by Mr. Charles Cooper, Minister of Traffic, Transport, and Urban Planning, who is also the Minister of Economic Development, Mr. Antoin Klein Hofmeijer, Head of TUI Dutch Caribbean, and Mr. Jonny Andersen, CEO of Curaçao Airport Partners. Later, Minister Cooper and Mr. Muryad de Bruin (Curaçao Tourist Board), together with Mr. Andersen (CAP), presented Mrs. Roosmarijn Quartier (TUI) and Mr. Klein Hofmeijer (TUI) with a commemorative plaque featuring our Queen Juliana Bridge. Tourists from Brussels can now explore our wide range of tourist attractions, enjoy cultural events, taste our local cuisine, and interact with our friendly people. At the same time, the introduction of this Brussels connection offers more travel options for our local community.

The Government of Curaçao, the Curaçao Tourist Board (CTB), Curaçao Airport Partners (CAP), Curaçao Airport Holding (CAH), and the Curaçao Hospitality & Tourism Association (CHATA) congratulate TUI on their new route, Brussels – Curaçao!
