Join the Quality Assurance Program
The Curaçao Tourist Board (CTB) is committed to ensure that the products and amenities offered to our visitors meet the quality standards. To support this goal, we’ve partnered with the Ministry of Economic Development (MEO) and Curaçao Innovation & Technology Institute (CITI) to implement the Quality Assurance Program for the Alternative lodging sector.
This program is specifically designed to assess and enhance the quality of our Tourism Industry, with a particular focus on what matters most to customers — especially tourists. Through this program, Curaçao Tourist Board aims to promote quality, sustainability, and long-term success in the local tourism sector, ensuring a consistently excellent experience for all visitors.

As a business owner offering apartments, bungalows, vacation homes, bed & breakfasts, or similar alternative accommodation, you guarantee that your establishment meets industry-recognized quality standards, giving your guests confidence in the amenities you provide. This certification not only enhances your reputation but also helps you stand out in a competitive market by demonstrating your commitment to excellence and safety.

- Recognition for Quality: Receive independent quality recognition that assures guests of the exceptional amenities and safety you offer.
- Quality Assurance Program plaque: Display the official CTB Quality Assurance Program plaque, a symbol of your commitment to providing quality and safe accommodations.
- Inclusion on www.curacao.com: Your certified establishment will be featured on the official destination website, making it easier for potential visitors to discover and book your accommodation.
- Marketing Support: Benefit from inclusion in CTB’s local and international marketing activities, broadening your business’s visibility and reach.
- Contribute to Global Sustainability Initiatives: The opportunity to become a contributor to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals by meeting key sustainability criteria. (Optional Recognition)
- Business Improvement Recommendations by CITI: Get professional insights and recommendations on how to innovate and improve your operations for even greater success. Upon request, CITI can conduct an “Innovation Scan” to assess if and how your business can implement innovation practices.
Participation Fee
Thanks to partial subsidies from the Curaçao Tourist Board, this program is accessible to small- and medium-sized businesses. The participation fee is ANG 265,- (incl. OB) per establishment and covers your plaque and all associated benefits.
Classification of Alternative Lodgings
As part of the certification process, accommodations will be classified into Deluxe, Comfort, and Economy categories.
